ABSTRACT

Prior to the pandemic’s start in 2020, Kellyco Metal Detectors ran its operations via an analog kanban board and post-it notes. Processes were not documented and communication happened via Slack, email, and face to face. When the pandemic began and we all began working from home, the Director of Marketing Operations and I were tasked with finding and implementing an online task management solution: ClickUp.

CHALLENGE

We operated on a small budget, had a distributed team, and zero process documentation. Everything needed to be built from scratch. We selected ClickUp and had two business days to onboard the system into the organization.

SOLUTION

ClickUp was selected due to its low cost, ease of adoption, and ability (but not necessity) to be customized.

RESULTS

  1. 100% adoption of the tool across the organization in the first week.

  2. Majority of tech stack integrated with ClickUp within first month.

  3. 85 processes documented within first 6 months.

  4. Task templates built to reduce workload within all departments.

  5. Onboarding and assigned work to international contract workers all within the tool.
